A tradition passed from father to son
I am Chérif Mohamed Bouyé Aidara, known publicly as Chérif Aidara. In my family's traditional filiation: Mohamed Bouyé Ould Malaïnine, known as Wolio, Ould Mohamed Fadel, within a lineage of scholars and spiritual guides transmitted from generation to generation.

Ould means “son of”. The term is retained here as part of the traditional filiation.
This heritage, preserved with rigour and fidelity through the generations, forms the foundation of each consultation.
Learning within the family
I learned within my own family — from my father and my father's brothers — in Binako Chérif and Dar Salam Chérif, continuing this ancestral transmission.
What does “Chérif” mean?
The title Chérif is traditionally used for descendants of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم. This is the lineage to which my family tradition refers.
